The opportunity
Bridge Finance and Technology as an Accounting Analyst/Consultant
This is a specialized role where you will serve as the financial backbone of our ERP implementations. You will be responsible for ensuring that our clients' financial workflows, from Chart of Accounts setup to automated reconciliation, are perfectly aligned with accounting standards and business goals. As an Accounting Analyst/Consultant, you will translate complex financial requirements into functional ERP configurations, ensuring data integrity and providing strategic insights that help our clients thrive. This position offers a unique blend of financial analysis, system consulting, and client-facing strategy.
Key Responsibilities
What You'll Lead and Do
Financial Discovery & Process Mapping
- Conduct deep-dive sessions with client finance teams to understand their current accounting workflows, reporting requirements, and pain points.
- Map manual accounting processes to automated ERP workflows, ensuring compliance with GAAP/IFRS standards.
- Perform detailed financial gap analysis and recommend Odoo-based solutions for complex fiscal requirements.
ERP Accounting Implementation & Configuration
- Lead the configuration of the Odoo Accounting module, including Chart of Accounts, Taxes, Fiscal Positions, and Journal structures.
- Oversee the migration of financial data, including opening balances, accounts payable/receivable, and other transactions, ensuring 100% data accuracy.
- Set up automated bank feeds, reconciliation rules, and multi-currency reporting.
Strategic Analysis & Reporting
- Design and implement customized financial reports, dashboards, and KPIs that provide clients with real-time visibility into their business health.
- Analyze client financial data post-implementation to ensure the system is delivering accurate insights and identifying further areas for optimization.
Quality Assurance & Training
- Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) specifically for financial modules, ensuring all accounting entries trigger correctly across the system (Inventory, Sales, Purchase).
- Develop comprehensive financial user manuals and deliver expert-led training sessions for Controllers and CFOs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Functional Consultants to ensure that operations (Manufacturing, POS, eCommerce) integrate seamlessly with the General Ledger.
- Act as the internal "Subject Matter Expert" for all accounting-related queries within the OERP team

Minimum Requirements
Educations
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Possession of (or active pursuit of) a CPA designation is a significant asset.
Experience
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or ERP consulting.
- Hands-on experience with Odoo Accounting or other major ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, QuickBooks Enterprise).
- Proven experience in financial data migration and system reconciliations.
- Solid understanding of Canadian tax requirements (HST/GST/PST) and corporate reporting.
